Recital Series

The Atlantic String Quartet is a versatile and professional ensemble comprised of the four principal string players of the NSO and Sinfonia. Alison Black and Nancy Case-Oats, Violins, Scott Chancy Viola and Theo Weber Cello. The recital series features some of the greatest Chamber music ever written.

Theo Webber and Scott Chancey will be taking a sabbatical year in the 2010 - 2011 season. Cellist Nathan Cook and Violist Andre Generux
have been engaged for the season and will also perform with the NSO and Sinfonia as principal players.
The quartet is an integral part of the creative life of the community and is known for its versatility and ability to work with music and musicians of all styles.



The recital series will begin with special guest  cellist Collin Carr, who will play with Alison Black violin and also pianist Kristina Szutor. Duos & Trios One.

Recital #2 will see Nancy Case-Oates and Nathan Cook - cello perform with special guest David Jalbert - piano for 'Trios & Duos Two'.

'Gone With the Winds" is the title of Recital #3 and an opportunity to hear the NSO principal wind players perform wind chamber music with Maureen Volk - piano

The last recital of the year will return to music for string Quartet and Octet -
"Quartet & Double Quartet'
